Tan Shin Yih (0334900) Experiential Design & Personal Project 1 Week 1 For the first class of experiential design & personal project 1, Mr. Mike brief us about the module and told us that we will have a collaboration project with RMIT students. He also explains to us how the collaboration will be going on and what we need to do for it. For let us understand more to the project we need to do, Mr. Mike also asks us to visit the previous work of RMIT student ( http://rmitdmcc.com/2018/ ). Mr. Mike also sends a survey to us to know everyone specialization so it would be easier to split the group later. We also being told to work with the Australian students for 2 weeks, and we will need to come out of a prototype by this 2 weeks time. We need to work with the RMIT students by this 2 weeks time from 10 am to 6 pm at CODA if we don't have any classes to attend. Before class ended, Mr. Mike brief us for a one day trip with the Australian students by next week ...

Project 1: Storyboard and Project Proposal
Objective
Develop an idea for a video project. Treatment should include a synopsis, key characters’
introduction, and visual references. The story will develop into a viable storyboard for the final project.
Proposal should include 1. Story outline: Consists of beginning, middle and resolution (3 act structure).
2. Main characters’ introduction: Brief introduction about the leading characters.
3. Storyboard: Breakdown of the story in scenes and actions.
4. Visual references: a guide for cinematography and color theme.
Additional documents for the idea and project: shooting location, mood board, actor’s profile etc.
Ideas
1. The shooting game A guy that super like to play games, especially shooting games. One day, he accidentally goes inside the game world and stuck inside. Everyone that he killed inside the game has truly died. 2. The Accident One girl plays her phone when she passing the road. Then a car almost bumps into her. When she let go of her hand, there are no one inside the car. She feels weird walk around and didn't see anyone around. She gets into the car and drives around, but then she sees no ones. Then when she stopped in front of a shop lots, she accidentally saw a television that shows that she had already dead through the accident.
3. The Dream One girl stresses out with her life and curses everyone to die. After she releases her stress in vain and complains about the world, she went out and find her mom to get some food, but then she didn't manage to find her mum. She ran out of her house but then she can't find anyone else. Then she starts scared and crying. Suddenly she heard someone that calling her. It turns out to be a dream.
Then, Mr. Martin found that my idea is not enough interesting, so he asked me to combine both stories into one complete story.
Storyboard: End of the World Version 1.0
(fast flashback) A girl moves to a new place and starts her new life. But then she was stress out about her new college life, the challenge of new college, new friends, the new classmate. She is bullied by her coursemates and she also couldn't take the pressure that given by her parents to maintain her good result in her studies. (flip back the scene) She shut the door and start blaming the whole world people and shout,"Can everyone just disappear from this world?" After she releases her stress she starts hungry and wanted to get some food from her mum. She goes downstairs walk around her house to find her mum but she can't. Then she feels something wrong then she ran out of her house and look around but then no one there. (She walked around her house area and knocking her neighbor house) But then no one answer. Then she starts to feel anxious and worried. She starts crying and blaming herself because didn't appreciate what she has. (flashlight came out) Suddenly a car rush forward to her and almost knock on her. She shocked and covered her face. But then the car stopped and didn't knock on her. She feels weird and looks around. The car start disappears and all the building around her start disappear too. She scares and starts disappointed. (double exposure) Then she accidentally saw a tv that shows the world is having a tsunami. When she lifted up her head, the tsunami is moving toward her. (blackout)

A girl stressed out about her life, she shut the door, get angry and splash everything around her. Then she starts blaming the whole world people and shout,"Can everyone just disappear from this world?"
After she releases her stress she starts hungry and wanted to get some food from her mum.
She goes downstairs walk around her house to find her mum but she can't. Then she feels something wrong then she ran out of her house and look around but then no one there. (She walked around her house area and knocking her neighbor house) But then no one answer.
Then she starts to feel anxious and worried. She starts crying and blaming herself because didn't appreciate what she has. She scares and starts disappointed. (double exposure)
(flashlight came out)
Suddenly a car rush forward to her and almost knock on her. She shocked and covered her face. But then the car stopped and didn't knock on her. She feels weird and looks around. The car start disappears and all the building around her start disappear too. Then she looks in her hand, she starts to disappear too.

Before she shut the door, she passed her television, then zoom into the television scene. Earthquake happening and she died in the earthquake.

Storyboard: End of the World Version 3.0 (Final)
One day, Sarah went to her boyfriend’s house without telling him. The moment she reached there, she saw her boyfriend holding a girl’s hand. Sarah got mad, her boyfriend quickly released the girl’s hand and started yelling at Sarah, trying to explain to her as soon as he noticed Sarah. Sarah ignored him.
She then rushed home in a bad mood. Her mother started nagging at her as Sarah simply threw her shoes around. Sarah was annoyed, she straight walked through the living room and entered her room. She banged on the door, sat on her bed, trying to calm herself down. Yet Sarah's mother came and knocked on the door, nagging at her. Still, her phone kept on ringing. It’s her boyfriend. He was spamming messages and calls, trying to reach her. Sarah got mad, she threw pillows onto the floor, trying to release her anger. She cried and started to blame on the others. She then shouted: "Can everyone just disappear?". A few moments later, she felt hungry and went downstairs, called her mother to ask for some food. She searched for her mother, but she saw nobody. She then walked out of the house trying to search for people, but she can't find one.
She walked around her neighborhood, knocking on her neighbors' houses, but no one replied. She became worried, started shouting for people. For hours, she can't find anyone. She then started to regret, squatted down and cried, blaming herself as she thought talking nonsenses had caused them to disappear.
Suddenly, she noticed a car miles away from her was flashing and horning at her. She was happy as she thought she finally found someone, she stood up and wave at the car, but moments later, the car wasn't stopping and almost rushed onto her. She thought the car would have run onto her, she shocked and quickly covered her face. A few seconds later, she felt weird and then opened her eyes. The car stopped right in front of her, there wasn't anyone in the car. The moment she felt weird, the car started to disappear. She slowly raised her head, looked up at the sky, only noticed what had happened.
She felt helpless, then lowered her headwalked back to her house. As she walked through the living room, she saw the news on the television, it was the doomsday. She then walked back to her room, looked out the window.

After showing Mr. Martin my first attempt, he asks me to cut short a bit for my final video and then also change a bit color tone for my video. Besides that, Mr. Martin also askes me to do some details for the final part and make both reflected city closer. He also asks me to add the news scene on the starting part.
