Assignment 3: Walk Cycle and Lip Sync

Objective:

To draw an animation of human's walk cycle based on the animal that we choose. Using the same animal to draw a complete lip sync.

The animal that I have chosen is the guinea pig.

This is the sketches that I draw for my walk cycle so that it will be easier for me to draw my guinea pig stand up and walk based on me.

This is my first sketches for the guinea pig, but then I don't like this kind of style so I redraw it.

This is the sample sketches that did by Mr. Hafiz to show us how to draw the animal in a simple way. He also taught us to separate the animal into 3 sizes, like medium head, big body, and small leg.

This is that final look of my guinea pig after I redraw the new one.

This is my first attempt for the walk cycle. Mr. Hafiz asked me to change the side for the turning guinea pig, as he said I draw a covered ear makes the ear looks disappear. And for the side walking, I don't know how to draw the 3/4 side for the guinea pig, so everything looks very flat. I asked Mr. Hafiz and my classmate to teach me how to draw the angle for my guinea pig so that I can redraw when I go home. Besides that, Mr. Hafiz showed me how fat animal walk so that I can make the movement of the guinea pig bigger.

Final Outcome

This is the final outcome that I did for the walk-cycle.

For the first attempt of my lip sync, Mr. Hafiz said look okay but then can make it better. He asked me to add eyebrows for my guinea pig and also make the eye blink when the guinea pig talking so that it will look more attractive and realistic.

Final Outcome

This is my final outcome for my lip sync.
