The Brief
Propose your game idea in the format of a game design document.

Description and requirements
A game design document (GDD) is a complete manual detailing on the game you are proposing/developing. The purpose of the document is to plan out your game so that it can be developed by any person reading the document.

The GDD should include:
1. The Title of your game
2. Introduction to the game
3. The game story
4. Elaboration of the game world
5. Visuals in the form of sketches representing the characters (hero, boss, enemies, environment, weapons, etc
6. The gameplay (information on how to play the game. Character control, power up, special abilities
7. Score mechanics (information on how the scores are distributed, gain or deducted based on specific action)
8. User Interface Design (sketch) especially on the Heads Up Display(HUD)
9. Color scheme, Theme, Mood

10. Flowchart of the game screen and gameplay

Moodboard

For the first consultation with Mr. Kannan, I showed my sketches of the game idea to Mr. Kannan. I have 2 ideas, one is talking about tribes and another is talking about cat and mouse. Then, Mr. Kannan asked me to choose one of the ideas to proceed, I choose the tribes idea. Because I have more idea on how planning this game and also the flow of the game, so I choose this idea.

Then, Mr. Kannan gives me some comment on the character that I draw. At first, I plan to use the human as the character and save another guy, then the monkey and others are the monster and boss. Then, Mr. Kannan told me that the character that I draw looks very kind and looks like good guy compares with the human. Mr. Kannan asks me to make the curve boxier and change the face impression for my monster character so that it looks like a monster.

Sketches

On the second consultation, I did some changes to my storyline. I change the human into my game's big boss, the others still maintain as monsters and the monkey become the character. I add on a small monkey into my character and change the story into the magic monkey king go to fight with the tribes and the monster, collect the key and save the little monkey.

I also did some changes to my character design. And below are the digital character that I did for my game.

I also show my first draft of my grey box to Mr. Kannan. Mr. Kannan told me that the map is okay but then for him, he wants quality more than quantity. He told me that the grey box that I draw is a bit longer. He asks me to try to make a simple one, cut and paste my grey box make it shorter so that I won't feel stress and panic when I doing the coding and I can have more time to improve my art style too.

First Attempt Greybox

Then, I come out with a shorter grey box and below are my new grey box for the game.

Art Style of my background (Draft)

This is the art style for the background. Mr. Kannan give me some comment to create darker color and different texture for the background so the character can look clearly from the background.

Here is the jpg of the animation of each character. At first, I create the animation in gif file, then Mr. Kannan asks me to make it in jpg file and put the animation separately. Below is the break out animation for my monster 1 & 2.

I did some adjustment for my background art, I added more details thing inside the game scene. Here is the final map for all the three level.

I also design the Homepage for my game.
